FOXFIRE is a top-down space survivor-like roguelite with real thrust physics, by Australian indie studio Tom & Ollie. In development for PC via Steam (app ID 4714090), targeting Early Access.

## Stage 1: the asteroid field

- Procedurally arranged asteroid belt; asteroids are obstacle and resource (breaking them pays credits).
- Escalating enemy waves: swarms, then elites, ranged shooters, and bosses that drop rewards.
- Offscreen threats tracked by indicators; some are worth flying out to meet.
- Hex ring objectives appear throughout runs: gain XP, repair the hull, or overcharge weapons. Some reward a clean approach line.
- Hidden secrets with a codex that fills in as they're found.

## Between runs

- Persistent hangar: credits buy permanent upgrades; ships take cosmetic presets.
- Flight Training time trials with medal times, for practising hull handling.
- Ship hulls and wingmates unlock through play.
